Road Closures: Saw Mill River Parkway In Westchester To Be Affected

Motorists will soon have to watch out for a series of upcoming closures that will block access to part of a busy parkway and state route in Westchester.

The closures will affect both the Saw Mill River Parkway and Route 119 in Elmsford beginning on Monday, Oct. 2, the New York State Department of Transportation announced.

The upcoming closures include:

  • The southbound Saw Mill River Parkway between Exit 23 (Old Saw Mill River Road) and Exit 22 (Interstate 287) on Monday, Oct. 2, and Tuesday, Oct. 3 between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.;
  • Route 119 in both directions between Vreeland Avenue and Undercliff Avenue from Monday, Oct. 2 to Friday, Oct. 6 between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. 

Motorists are asked to expect delays and follow the posted detours. 

Both closures will allow for bridge rehabilitation work, officials said.
